Rev Fr Stephen Lim is the Dean of College General Seminary since 2017. Prior to taking the role as a formator in College General, Rev Fr Stephen was involved in various ministries and responsibilities. Initially, upon his ordination in 7th August 1981, he served as the Assistant Parish Priest at the St Teresa Parish, Archdiocese of Kuching from the year 1981 to 1986, followed by a teaching role at St Peter’s College, Kuching as the External Philosophy lecturer. Concurrently, Fr Stephen had been appointed as the Parish Priest of Holy Trinity Parish from year 2002 to 2009. Next, from year 2010 to 2011, he returned back to the St Teresa Parish to support the parish as the Assistant Parish Priest. Then, Fr Stephen served as the Chaplain for St Joseph’s Private School, Kuching for five years, from 2012 to 2016.

Fr Stephen completed his Senior Cambridge education in the year 1973 at the St Patrick Secondary School, Kuching followed by the Minor Seminary in the year 1974 at the St Francis Xavier Seminary, Singapore. He continued his seminary formation at the College General, Penang from the year 1975 to 1980. He received his Diploma in Education in the year 1989 at the St Anselm Institute, Kent, England and he pursued his Licentiate in Philosophy from the year 1987 to 1988 in the prestigious Gregorian University, Rome.
