**We are experiencing some technical errors and the bare design of this blog is only temporary.** The families of Zone 6 BEC in the vicinity of College General gathered here at the seminary for the BEC Rosary on Friday 22nd May. At 8.00pm about forty of us, children, youth, parents, priests and seminarians and some elderly persons gathered in the foyer of the College where a statue of Mary and Jesus [...] He is a jolly-good fellow! … Mr. Joseph Koo, ever so spirited and fun loving staff bid farewell on the 29th of April 2009 as he completed his tenure in College General as a Part-time Caretaker for the badminton hall. The community and staff of College General had a luncheon gathering at our cozy refectory! It [...] 8 Mei 2009 ialah hari yang istimewa bagi kami in CG. Mungkin ramai yang tertanya-tanya, kenapa………..? Ianya tak lain, tak bukan……… kerana ia adalah hari lahir bagi En. Zani Ros. Siapakah En. Zani Ros……..? En. Zani ialah salah seorang ahli yang penting di komuniti kami di sini. Beliau bertangungjawab memastikan bahawa kawasan di CG selalu berada [...] May 3rd, 2009 being Good Shepherd Sunday also called Vocation Sunday, was a memorable day for the Catechism teachers and children of City Parish. Despite the heavy rain in the morning, about 100 students and teachers turned up at Our Lady of Sorrows Church to board the buses and spend the next two hours at [...] (click on the photo for larger image) The seminary community attended the Chrism Mass at the Church of Holy Name of Jesus, Balik Pulau, Penang on 2nd April 2009. It was wonderful to see the priests of the Diocese of Penang descend to this ‘durian town’ to recommit themselves to their calling as priests before Bishop Antony Selvanayagam. During the homily of the [...] Three teenagers – David, Michael and Peter – from St Michael’s Church Alor Setar spent two day of the school holidays exploring the seminary life. They participated in most of the activities of the seminarians and even went to the Lighthouse with the seminarians for some pastoral exposure. Their stay coincided with the visit of [...] It is always special to celebrate anniversaries and birthdays. The seminary community celebrated a few birthdays of Ah Lian, Ah Choo and Evlyn. We also prayed for Michael and Jane who celebrated their Ruby Wedding anniversary. Thank you Lord for the gift of these people to and at College General! Bishop Antony Selvanayagam, the President of the Board of Directors celebrated mass with the seminarians, staff and the friends of College General on Monday 23 of February and joint us for dinner cum fellowship with the seminarians. He reflected to the agenda of formation for the year 2009. |
