35 aspirants from the 3 dioceses of Peninsular Malaysia came for a Vocation Stay-In Experience at College General from 28th to 31st May 2009 which aims at giving them a little taste of seminary life and help them discern their vocation in life. Despite the heavy rain in the morning, about 100 students and teachers turned up at Our Lady of Sorrows Church to board the buses and spend the next two hours at [...] (click on the photo for larger image) The seminary community attended the Chrism Mass at the Church of Holy Name of Jesus, Balik Pulau, Penang on 2nd April 2009. It was wonderful to see the priests of the Diocese of Penang descend to this ‘durian town’ to recommit themselves to their calling as priests before Bishop Antony Selvanayagam. During the homily of the [...] Three teenagers – David, Michael and Peter – from St Michael’s Church Alor Setar spent two day of the school holidays exploring the seminary life. They participated in most of the activities of the seminarians and even went to the Lighthouse with the seminarians for some pastoral exposure. Their stay coincided with the visit of [...] |
