On the 28th of March 2009 between 8.30pm and 9.30pm all electricity at College General was switched off as we decided to join forces with others in combating Global Warming by participating in the Earth Hour project. We voted Earth!

For us that 60 minutes was truly significant as it was in a way related to the commitment we made at the beginning of this year to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. A small community though we may be, but great dreams we have. We did our little part by spending some moments of silence around a lighted candle before continuing to pray the rosary after which some of us remained in silent contemplation, while some others noisily enjoyed the breath taking view of the skyline and heavens from our roof top deck.

It was indeed a very memorable experience for having contributed albeit in a small way to care for our precious home – planet earth – together with millions of fellow human beings around the globe.
